Our Philosophy

  • Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus is God and that He is the most important protective factor that leads to resiliency in the lives of children.

  • Articles of Faith - We believe in the scripturally based articles of faith in Christianity.

  • Culture - We believe that African children should not be subjected to total Eurocentric enculturation, but that we should assimilate into each others' cultures as a part of effective ministry.

  • Parenting - We believe that children build resiliency quickly by having Godly parents or grandparents.

  • Local Church - We believe that families must be actively involved with a local church, where under the leadership of Godly pastors, they will obtain spiritually, a key protective factor in resilient individuals.

  • School - We believe that the school does not substitute for the home or church; rather, the school is to reinforce the values taught in the home and church.

  • Community-based Organizations - We believe that morally sound community-based organizations exist to enhance the well-being of children; thus, they may be able to enhance children's self-esteem, another key factor in resilient individuals.
Our Purpose

Build and completely furnish 3 bedroom homes at an estimated cost of $30,000 dollars a piece. Place 6 A.I.D.S. affected orphans into each home and provide their needs until they become adults at an estimated $10,000 a year per home. Place African parents or grandparents who wish to raise orphans into these homes. Help erect and staff a school for our orphans and other needy children in the community after the fourth year of the project's existence. Involve our children in community-based organizations. Build homes throughout South Africa under the leadership of national pastors and missionaries to house A.I.D.S.-affected orphans not located at the Children's Resiliency project.
